"Thésée Combattant le Minotaure" by Étienne-Jules Ramey depicts the mythological Greek hero Theseus battling the Minotaur, a legendary creature with the head of a bull and the body of a man. In the Thesee Combattant le Minotaure statue the minotaur has a bulls head and is presumably quite young because of its small horns. Theseus is holding a club in his right hand in a poise ready to strike the minotaur. This statue is a representation of a classic story from Greek mythology that showcases the bravery and cunning of Theseus.
