"Lo spettacolo della vita" is an installation, in the Castel Sant' Angelo, of thirteen sculptures by the artist from Campania by birth, but from Pugliaby adoption, Pietro Guida: the kiss of two boys, the dance of two tango dancers, the embrace between mother and son, the conversation on a bench, the sonority of a musical trio, the walk of two elderly people, but also the playfulness of acrobats. . . Executed between 1990 and 2004), Pietro Guida did rethink his art in a figurative way, referring to the great tradition of Italian sculpture by Arturo Martini and Marino Marini and interpreting it in a modern way in terms of technique (molded concrete and patinated) and a thematic choice (the facets of every daylife, in fact). The whole experience in one's own poetic world.
